The bold statement was made in a viral Facebook post, where the woman clearly outlined her stance, insisting that any man who cannot pay his partner's hospital bills during delivery does not deserve to have his name on the birth certificate of the child.

In her words, “If I carry belle and I’m the one paying for the hospital bills, that birth certificate cannot carry the man’s name. It will only have my name.” She emphasized that going through the emotional and physical toll of pregnancy and childbirth, coupled with the burden of footing hospital bills, was too much to endure alone while still giving credit to a man who contributed nothing financially.

She further stated, “I can’t even imagine a woman carrying a pregnancy for nine months, going through labor or CS, and then paying her hospital bill herself. Like, how? What exactly is the man’s job? Ewwww. God forbid.”

Highlighting the seriousness of her stance, she explained that the pain of pregnancy and childbirth is already a huge burden, and adding financial pressure to it is unacceptable. “I go suffer from month one to nine, go through labor pain or cesarean section, and still pay hospital bills? That one na big ment!” she wrote.

Her post quickly attracted widespread attention and reactions, with social media users flooding the comments to either support or criticize her views.
