A Nigerian lady has sparked debate online with her opinion that dating or marrying a man who can cook and take care of himself is a major red flag.
In a video she shared on social media, the lady advised her fellow women to avoid getting into relationships or marriages with men who are skilled in the kitchen and capable of handling domestic tasks on their own.
While explaining her reasoning, she argued that if a man knows how to cook, whenever he has a disagreement or misunderstanding with his girlfriend or wife, he will simply cook for himself, eat, and go to sleep peacefully without feeling the need to make amends.
She elaborated further, saying:
“When you get married to a man who can cook, it’s a red flag. Whenever you have a fight, he will cook, eat, feel happy, and go to sleep without a second thought.”
“There’s no reason for him to beg you or try to make peace. Especially if he can cook better than you and also knows how to keep malice, you will suffer in that relationship,” she added.
Her remarks have stirred up mixed reactions on social media, with many users sharing their thoughts on whether a man’s ability to cook should be considered a problem in a relationship or marriage.
