A Nigerian woman who was caught on CCTV stealing a bone straight wigs and a pixie wig, collectively worth ₦300,000, from a local shop has reportedly dropped her mobile phone as collateral to guarantee payment for the stolen items, according to reports circulating online.
The incident was revealed in a series of posts shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by user @dammiedammie35, who documented the confrontation and aftermath of the theft.
In the footage, the woman is visibly confronted by several individuals demanding to know how she plans to repay the cost of the stolen wigs. She calmly explains her intention to leave her phone as security until she fully reimburses the shop owner.
Gistreel had earlier reported that the woman was recorded by CCTV cameras as she took the bone straight and pixie wigs from the store without permission.
Following the exposure, a follow-up video emerged, showing the woman being handed back the stolen items while she reiterated her plan, stating, “I want to drop the phone till when I pay.” The people around her can be heard discussing the situation and questioning her.
