A Nigerian woman has publicly accused I-Fitness gym of fraudulent behavior after allegedly being charged ₦73,800 monthly for four consecutive months, even after canceling her gym membership. The woman took to social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to voice her frustration, drawing attention to what she described as unauthorized deductions and a lack of accountability from the gym.
According to her post, she had officially canceled her gym subscription in October of the previous year. However, to her shock and dismay, deductions for the membership fee continued without her consent. Despite reaching out to the gym to inquire about the charges, she claimed she was informed that I-Fitness had a non-refund policy. Instead, they offered her three months of complimentary gym service as compensation for the ongoing deductions.

She wrote: “I-Fitness, you’re thieves and scammers. I canceled my subscription with you since October last year, yet you continued deducting my money.”
She further stated, “I asked you what was happening and why my money was still being deducted after I had already canceled the subscription. You told me you don’t refund, but that you would give me three months of free service to cover the fees.”
The woman added that she made efforts to take advantage of the three-month offer in January by visiting the gym, but she eventually could not make use of the service because the gym’s location was too far from where she lived. Despite not using the facility and having been assured that her subscription had ended, she alleged that further deductions still occurred, amounting to ₦73,800 over the four-month span.
Frustrated, she demanded a full refund, sparking an online conversation as her post began to gain traction across various platforms. Many users flooded her comment section to either sympathize with her experience or share advice on how she could recover her funds.
