A Nigerian woman has made a shocking accusation against a doctor based in Abuja, alleging that one of her twins was stolen shortly after delivery. The woman revealed that despite a prenatal scan confirming she was carrying twins, she was only handed one baby after giving birth.
The disturbing allegation was first shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by user @ChuksEricE, attracting widespread attention and sparking intense online discussion.
According to the woman, during her pregnancy, medical scans clearly showed she was expecting twins. However, after delivery, she was given only one child and told that the other twin had tragically died during childbirth.
When she requested to see the deceased twin’s body to confirm the claim, she was told the body was too badly damaged to be identified, which heightened her suspicions about the entire situation.
Her suspicions deepened when she later spotted the doctor’s wife at a local children’s hospital with a child bearing a striking resemblance to her missing twin, raising serious concerns about the fate of her other baby.
In a statement recounting her ordeal, the woman said: “During my pregnancy, a scan at the hospital showed I was expecting twins. But after delivery, I was only given one baby and told the other had died.”
She added, “When I asked for the body, they claimed it was too damaged to identify. I became suspicious. Later, I saw my doctor’s wife at a children’s hospital with a child who looked exactly like mine.”
