A Nigerian man has raised alarm on social media after his car was broken into by a thief in front of a police station in Abuja. The intruder reportedly stole a laptop and a bag containing sensitive landed property documents.

This alarming incident was brought to light through a video posted on X (formerly Twitter) by user @ChuksEricE. In the footage, a visibly distraught man—allegedly the owner of the vehicle—can be seen expressing frustration and disbelief that such a crime could happen in front of a government security facility.

“In front of the police station, Zone 7 Police Station, they broke the windscreen and took away the laptop from inside this car,” the victim lamented in the clip.

The man, who seemed devastated, issued a passionate appeal to the public, particularly residents of Abuja, to assist in locating the stolen bag. He emphasized that the documents inside the missing bag were critical, as they related to land ownership.

“Please, if you reside in Abuja and you mistakenly see any bag anywhere, it contains landed documents,” he pleaded in the video. “If you mistakenly stole any bag, please just contact me.”

The post has stirred intense reactions across social media, with Nigerians expressing anger and concern over the brazen nature of the crime and the perceived failure of security in a place where safety should be guaranteed.
