A pastor’s wife, identified as Adenike Taiwo, has bravely opened up about her traumatic experience with her husband’s girlfriends from their church. In an exclusive interview on Biola Adebayo Ent’s official YouTube channel, Adenike revealed some of the distressing events that took place in her marriage.
Adenike recounted how her husband, at one point, coldly told her that he wanted her to die so he could be free and remarry. This statement left her devastated and in shock. She further disclosed how the women involved with her husband in the church not only targeted her emotionally but also took legal action against her, making her life even more difficult.
According to Adenike, one of these women wrote a formal petition against her, which led to the police inviting her for questioning. She refused to comply with their request to appear and was then threatened with defamation charges if she did not cease contacting the woman. Adenike said, “One of my husband’s girlfriends from our church wrote a petition against me, and the police invited me, but I refused to honour their invitation, and they threatened me that if I don’t stop sending her messages, they will charge me with defamation of character.”
The emotional toll of the situation was exacerbated by the fact that her husband had already packed his belongings and left their matrimonial home. Despite this, Adenike revealed that she continued praying for him, hoping for reconciliation, even though her world seemed to be falling apart around her.
In the interview, Adenike emphasized the importance of empowering women who are trapped in abusive or threatening relationships. She encouraged them to recognize their self-worth, seek help, and find strength in their own journey towards healing and freedom. She believes no woman should feel helpless or trapped in such circumstances.
