A Nigerian lady, Confidence Utomi, has taken to social media to share an interesting aspect of her marriage journey, specifically the list her family gave to her husband when he visited to formally ask for her hand in marriage.
She made this revelation through a post on her Facebook page, where she disclosed that while cleaning her room, she stumbled upon the marriage list that her family had handed over to her husband before their traditional wedding. She expressed her surprise and admiration for how simple and budget-friendly the list was.
According to her, when her husband received the marriage list, he found it so flexible that he had no trouble fulfilling all the requirements in a short period of time. She described the list as one of the most considerate and easy-to-meet lists she had ever seen when it comes to traditional marriage requirements.
She wrote in her post:
“I was cleaning our bedroom this morning when I found the Marriage List my Family gave to my Husband. Truth be told, Urhobo Marriage Bride Price List is the most budget-friendly list I have ever seen,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Thursday.
“No too mush serere. I don’t know about others, but our Elders don’t give headaches when it comes to asking for their daughter's hand in marriage.
When my husband saw this list, it didn’t take him time to achieve everything on this list, as a matter of fact.
He bought and presented everything before the Traditional Wedding Date and paid only the Dowry on the deal day.
