A Nigerian lady has left many people stunned online after revealing that she received admission offers from four different UK universities even though she submitted the applications casually and without any serious intention of proceeding with them.
The lady, whose identity was not disclosed, took to her social media handle on the popular microblogging platform, X (formerly known as Twitter), to express her surprise over the unexpected outcome of her casual applications.
According to her post, she had applied for an MSc program in four different UK institutions, not necessarily expecting any serious outcome due to financial limitations and the assumption that getting admitted without adequate funding would be difficult.
She explained that she submitted the applications just “for fun” as a way to test the process and see what might happen. To her amazement, all four universities sent her positive responses confirming her acceptance into their programs.
She wrote: “Applied for MSc in 4 UK schools for fun (cuz where I wan see funding), and all 4 came through. Is it this easy without funding?”
Her post quickly went viral, gathering attention from other social media users who either shared similar personal experiences or commented on the increasing ease of securing admission to schools in the UK — particularly for international students willing to pay tuition out of pocket.
Several users dropped their thoughts and reactions in the comment section under her post.

@Rilex_xclusive: “Yes. They want us to bring our money over there. It’s one of their big business sectors in the UK.”
@Horiyourme: “One day, Nigerians will realize the UK schools are not doing you a favor, they’re just doing business. You’re just a number.”
