A Nigerian man recently caused a stir on social media after an unfortunate incident where a cow, reportedly owned by a Fulani herder, charged and caused significant damage to his car while his family was inside the vehicle.
The man took to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share his frustration and recount the event, highlighting how more sympathy appeared to be directed at the injured cow rather than at him and his family, who were inside the car during the ordeal.
In a video shared by user @ChuksEricE, viewers are shown the aftermath of the collision, including the lifeless body of the cow, which is believed to have died as a result of the accident. The clip also features the visibly distressed man expressing his disbelief and lamenting the damage caused to his vehicle.
“Guys, look at what Aboki cow did to my vehicle this morning. God saved my life and my family. Look at the damage,” the man said as he panned his camera across the wrecked car and to his family members, who thankfully appeared unhurt.
He further revealed that he had a premonition something bad might happen, as he felt uneasy the night before the incident.
The video quickly gained traction online, sparking a wave of reactions and discussions from concerned Nigerians who flooded the comment section to express their sympathy, outrage, and opinions about the incident and the broader issue of livestock on Nigerian roads.
Below are some notable reactions from social media users:
@geeztvofficial: “Na to carry the cow put for car first then find closest slaughter market go sell am.”
