According to the post, the individual, identified as Adesanya Oluwatumilara, took to social media with a fake obituary of his mother, claiming that she had passed away. His goal was to defraud his schoolmates, many of whom, upon hearing the news, generously contributed money to help cover funeral expenses. However, the scam was later exposed when it was revealed that the obituary was fabricated. It was also alleged that Oluwatumilara had been using fake scholarship letters to deceive others for personal gain.

The social media post accompanying the story criticized Oluwatumilara, calling him a "bastard and bloody thief" for faking his mother’s death and manipulating others to defraud them of millions of naira. The post further denounced his use of fake documents to deceive people. The public outrage grew as more details emerged about his actions. In a shocking twist, a video was also shared online showing Oluwatumilara partying at a club, spraying cash and dancing joyously. This behavior was seen as further evidence of his deceit and lack of remorse.
