A Nigerian man has raised a serious alarm after a disturbing encounter with police officers who allegedly attempted to arrest him at his residence without presenting a valid warrant. Adding to the controversy, one of the officers reportedly removed his badge and name tag to avoid identification.
The incident came to light through a video that was posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), where the man documented his experience and questioned the legality of the officers' actions.
In the video, the man is heard refusing to open his door, expressing concern over the officer’s attempt to remain unidentified. He strongly questioned their motives and insisted on seeing a valid search or arrest warrant before complying.
He can be heard saying: “Your colleague removed his badge. Why would he tear off his badge? Show your face. Tell me where you’re taking me. You tore your badge and you call yourself police. Where is your search warrant?”
Despite his continued insistence for legal clarity, the officers failed to provide any documentation and allegedly tried to force their way in.
