A Nigerian youth has sparked widespread reactions online after narrating a rather unexpected incident that occurred at his university’s faculty of engineering.
In a video that is now making the rounds on social media, the young man shared how he visited the faculty of engineering only to find that their generator had developed a fault.
To his utmost surprise, he discovered that despite the presence of several engineering professors, none of them was able to fix the faulty generator. He found it ironic that a faculty dedicated to engineering and technological advancement could not resolve a basic mechanical problem within its own premises.
He expressed his disappointment and questioned the practical relevance of their academic knowledge if they could not handle such a technical issue. The man shared his thoughts passionately, stating …
“I was in this faculty some time ago when the faculty generator developed issues. None of the professors of engineering could fix it. They had to start looking for an external technician — my question is why is it called a faculty of engineering if the diesel power plant had a problem and no one there could fix it?”
