A Nigerian man is urgently seeking justice after discovering that his car, which was stolen near his church, is being used by the police as a patrol vehicle. This shocking discovery has left him devastated and confused, prompting him to share his ordeal on social media in hopes of bringing attention to the issue.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the man recounted the series of events that began in 2015 when he parked his car outside his church to attend a service. Upon returning after the program, he was horrified to find that his car was missing, sparking a search that turned up no clues as to its whereabouts.
The man immediately reported the theft to the police and was asked to provide the vehicle’s papers, which he did in the hopes of tracking down his stolen property. However, two years later, in 2017, the man was left speechless when he spotted his car being used as a police patrol vehicle by officers.
In his statement, the man detailed his shock and disbelief: “I’m a citizen of Nigeria, I live in Warri, Delta State. The picture in my hand is of my car. I went to a church program in 2015, and when the program ended, I came out to find that my car was gone.”
He continued, “I searched for it but couldn’t find it, so I reported the theft to the police. They asked me to bring the vehicle papers. Two years later, in 2017, I saw the same car with the police officers, who had converted it into a patrol vehicle.”
The man’s post also includes a video with further details of his harrowing experience, where he can be seen pleading for help and sharing his disbelief at the situation.
