A Nigerian man was apprehended at Odogunyan filling station after attempting to leave without paying for fuel worth ₦70,000, while charms were discovered in his car.
The incident was shared in a post on the popular social media platform, X (formerly Twitter).
In the video, a woman’s voice can be heard expressing disbelief over the situation. She reveals that the man had purchased ₦70,000 worth of fuel but failed to settle the payment. The voice further explains that the situation was odd, noting how the man attempted to leave without making any payment for the fuel he had received.
When his car was searched, charms were found inside. “See what we found in his car. He bought fuel for ₦70,000 and didn’t pay. Fine boy, you’ve just ruined yourself,” she said. The video also shows the man being roughly handled by the station’s staff as they attempt to detain him for the unpaid fuel. The individual appeared visibly uncomfortable as he was confronted over the fraudulent act.
As the post gained traction online, many concerned individuals flooded the comments to share their opinions on the incident. Some people reacted with disbelief over the man’s audacity to engage in such an act, while others noted the presence of the charms in his car as a curious detail in the matter. Several users also pointed out that the behavior might not have been a first-time occurrence for the man, given the nature of the scam.
