The disturbing incident was brought to light through a series of emotional posts shared by the affected lady on X (formerly Twitter), where she is identified as @introvert_birdy. In her viral thread, she recounted the harrowing experience, calling on Nigerians, human rights organizations, and media outlets to amplify her voice and demand justice.

According to her testimony, the incident occurred when police officers invaded their residence without a warrant and forcefully took her, her mother, her sister, and two of their neighbors into custody.
