A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to express her distress after her friend’s mother confronted and threatened her over a financial dispute involving her husband. According to the lady, the husband had persistently pursued her romantically on Facebook, which led to an unexpected turn of events.
The woman, identified by her social media handle as @Apeke_olamii, revealed in a post on the platform X (formerly Twitter) that the husband of her friend sent her a friend request and started sending romantic messages despite her initial attempts to ignore him.
As the messages continued unabated, she decided to demand money from him as compensation for his persistent advances. The husband complied, asking for her account details and sending her some funds. The lady later confided in her friend about the situation, who then informed her own mother.
Subsequently, the friend’s mother reportedly began calling and threatening the lady over the incident, creating an uncomfortable and tense situation for her.
In her post, she explained: “My friend’s dad added me on Facebook and asked me out. I ignored him, but he kept coming back, so I billed him. He sent me money. A week later, I told my friend, and now her mum won’t stop calling and threatening me.”
The story quickly caught the attention of social media users, prompting a flood of comments with varying opinions on the matter.
