Two brothers in Enugu stirred commotion after climbing onto the roof of their father’s house, demanding financial settlement before they would come down.
According to a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @ChuksEricE, the brothers reportedly threatened to burn the house if their father failed to meet their demands.
The situation attracted the attention of residents in the area, who quickly gathered at the scene and made efforts to de-escalate the tension.
In a viral video, one of the brothers is seen being approached by a concerned man using a ladder to reach the rooftop, attempting to persuade him to come down peacefully.
Eventually, both brothers were rescued by residents of Nsukka and escorted down safely.
A pick-up truck, accompanied by security personnel, later arrived to take the individuals away from the location.
Thanks to the swift response from the community, the potential crisis was averted and order was restored.
