Doctor raises public awareness as he showcases a foreign object surgically removed from a patient’s body.
A medical practitioner identified as @efe_edwards took to X (formerly Twitter) to share details of a recent emergency case he handled at the hospital.
In his shocking revelation, the case was not about a regular illness or accident but involved the removal of a foreign object from a man’s rectum. The object in question was a sizable carrot, which had to be surgically extracted.
The doctor, visibly exasperated by the recurring nature of such cases, issued a stern warning, urging individuals to desist from inserting foreign items into their bodies.
Expressing his concern, he wrote:
“Public service announcement. To those of you who enjoy shoving objects into your anuses and vaginas, please exercise caution!
It makes absolutely no sense to end up in a hospital—not because of a medical condition—but due to foreign objects lodged in body cavities.
We successfully completed the surgical procedure and, believe it or not, we saved a carrot! Stop putting foreign objects where they don’t belong!”
The post quickly went viral, attracting a mix of reactions from netizens. While some expressed shock and concern, others found humor in the situation.
Check out some of the reactions below:
@MedExpert_01: “This is beyond embarrassing. Why do people keep doing this?”
