A Nigerian businesswoman was left in tears after officials of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, allegedly raided her boutique and carted away various items, including clothes, shoes, and other valuables.

In a heartbreaking video that has since gone viral on X, formerly known as Twitter, the distraught woman could be seen wailing uncontrollably as she lamented the loss of her goods and pleaded for justice.

The trader, who appeared devastated, alleged that the NAFDAC officials looted her shop unjustly, taking away her merchandise without cause. She passionately called on the government to intervene and help her recover her belongings.

She cried out, saying:

“See my shop oo! This is where I make my money. NAFDAC looted my shop oo! All my clothes are gone. What you’ve done is wrong oo! Government, please come to my aid. NAFDAC has looted my shop!”

She further lamented that not only clothes but also several pairs of shoes and other essential items were taken from her boutique, leaving her with nothing to sell and no means to sustain her business.

As the video continued to gain traction on social media, concerned Nigerians took to the comment section to express their opinions on the alleged incident. While some condemned the act and called for justice, others questioned the authenticity of the claim, urging authorities to investigate the matter thoroughly.

See some reactions below:

@EbunDele54183: “I hope this is not another antics to discredit NAFDAC. You made a video of a ransacked or purported looted shop. You need to do better by providing a corresponding video of the alleged looting. NAFDAC must get to the root of this matter for integrity’s sake.”

@Handel_x: “The first reaction from Yorubas, if it’s about Igbo people, is to assume that the Govt is being set up? That’s bigotry in simple terms. You can’t hide it or suppress it… Given the oppressive and corrupt nature of Nigeria, and the target against the Igbos since the 60s.”

@princepark5252: “We are doomed as a Nation. And we are likely not going to do anything. If not, how are we allowing all these messes to continue, with no reaction and no action?”

@DatNaijaGuy1: “I strongly believe this is a calculated effort by these fake drug dealers to paint NAFDAC as evil and to get public support so as to slow down the good work NAFDAC is doing in its fight against fake drugs.”

@Maxzypriesty: “Nigeria is just a failed state. NAFDAC are a bunch of criminals. This is sad!”

@Nithsmit: “We asked why NAFDAC would close entire shops in a market, and some people who God will continue to punish came out to say otherwise. NAFDAC looted people’s shops, and they must pay for it all. There’s no institution under Tinubu that’s not stealing.”
