Assaulted UNIZIK lecturer, Professor Okoye, speaks extensively following the expulsion of female student, Precious Mbakwe, who physically assaulted him in a widely circulated video.
The unfortunate incident, which recently took over social media, showed Precious Mbakwe aggressively attacking Professor Okoye after he reportedly interrupted her dance video during school hours.
Following the uproar, the university’s management acted swiftly, setting up a disciplinary committee to investigate the matter. After thorough deliberations, the committee ruled in favor of the lecturer, resulting in the official expulsion of the student from the institution.
Addressing the situation in a recent podcast, Professor Okoye shared his perspective on the controversy. He admitted that he was taken aback by the level of attention the incident attracted, describing it as one of the latest social media frenzies.
According to Professor Okoye, he is still in the process of coming to terms with the unexpected nature of the incident. He stated that he had no prior indication or warning that such an altercation would occur.
“As much as I really want to delve into the details of this matter, I find myself treading carefully because I am yet to fully comprehend everything that transpired,” he said during the interview.
