A 68-year-old American woman has gone viral after revealing how she tied the knot with a 25-year-old Nigerian man she met on Facebook.
Their unusual love story began when the young Nigerian liked one of her posts on the social media platform. That single interaction led to conversations, friendship, and eventually a romantic connection between the two.
According to a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @Hybrid\_Ola, the couple has a 43-year age difference, but that didn’t stop their bond from flourishing.
The Nigerian man stated: “I’m 25, I’m married to a woman who is 43 years older than me. We met on Facebook.”
The woman, recounting the beginning of their relationship, said he became her best friend after liking her post. She described how their connection grew stronger over time and even credited a dream for inspiring her to travel to Nigeria to see him.
She said: “He liked something I posted. He went from somebody that liked my post to my very best friend. It just kept getting stronger. I woke up one day wanting to go to Nigeria. I woke up from a dream and all I wanted was to go to Nigeria. Got a hotel room—three days later, he proposed to me.”
