
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 14-year-old house help after she allegedly stabbed her employer to death in Lagos.
The young house help, identified as Dorcas Adebisi, reportedly had a heated argument with her employer, Modupe Lawson, at their residence located in the Oworonshoki area of the state.
According to sources, the tragic incident took place around 4:00 p.m. on April 9, 2025. The details surrounding the argument that led to the fatal stabbing are still unclear, but it escalated quickly, resulting in the death of the employer.
The murder was reported by the deceased’s brother, Abayomi Samuel Aina, who alerted the authorities at around 5:00 p.m. on the same day. Upon receiving the report, the Lagos police rushed to No. 13 Ayoola Street in Oworonshoki, where they found the body of Modupe Lawson lying in a pool of blood.
Following the discovery, the police immediately secured the scene and evacuated the body to the Mainland General Hospital Morgue in Yaba, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
The 14-year-old house help, Dorcas Adebisi, has been taken into police custody. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing, and the police are working to uncover the full details of what led to the tragic death.
