Manchester United are reportedly closing in on a significant signing, with advanced talks underway to secure the services of Matheus Cunha, currently playing for Wolves.
Despite statements from the club that all attention remains fixed on their upcoming Europa League final against Tottenham this Wednesday, credible sources including ESPN report that United are ready to activate the £62.5 million release clause in Cunha’s current contract.
The 25-year-old Brazilian forward has shown interest in the move to Old Trafford and appears set to join the club irrespective of their UEFA Champions League qualification status for the next campaign.
