Tammy Abraham is set to depart AS Roma after the Serie A giants agreed to a €20 million transfer fee with Turkish club Besiktas, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The English striker, who is 27 years old, will join up with former Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who currently manages the Istanbul-based side. This move marks an exciting new chapter for both Abraham and Besiktas as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming season.

Abraham spent the 2024-25 campaign on loan at AC Milan, where he managed to impress by scoring 10 goals and providing seven assists in 44 appearances across all competitions. His contributions helped Milan maintain their competitiveness both domestically and in Europe.

Despite receiving a similar offer from Russian side Zenit St. Petersburg, Abraham reportedly preferred the switch to Turkey. Sources close to the player suggest that his decision was influenced by a desire to play in a more competitive league and his enthusiasm for working under Solskjaer’s management style.

Since arriving at Roma from Chelsea in 2021, Abraham has made a significant impact, netting 37 goals in 120 appearances for the Giallorossi. His performances made him a fan favorite and an integral part of Roma's attacking lineup over the past few seasons.

Besiktas is expected to offer Abraham a lucrative contract worth around €6 million per year, making him one of the highest earners at the club. The move is seen as a major statement of intent by Besiktas, who are looking to reclaim dominance in the Turkish Super Lig and make a stronger impression in European competitions.
