According to eyewitness reports, the truck was transporting shaft sand and suddenly suffered a tyre burst on Friday, June 27, 2025. This unexpected mechanical failure caused the driver to lose control of the heavy vehicle.

The truck veered dangerously off the road and rammed into the busy market area, leaving shoppers and traders in shock. Unfortunately, it crashed directly into Cynthia's shop, causing severe injuries that led to her immediate death.

Cynthia, who had completed her national youth service two years earlier, had since been managing her POS business to support herself and her family. She was described by friends and customers as a cheerful and determined young woman with a promising future ahead.

Her sudden demise has left her loved ones, colleagues, and community members deeply saddened. Many have taken to social media to express their grief and to celebrate her life and contributions.

She was laid to rest in an emotional ceremony on Saturday, June 28, surrounded by family members, friends, and sympathizers who gathered to pay their final respects.
