Pastor Daniel Olukoya, the senior pastor of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, has recounted a chilling encounter from his university days, where he saw a naked woman carrying a large pot on her head in the middle of the night.
During a Sunday service, Pastor Olukoya shared this experience as a lesson on the dangers of spiritual oppression. He explained that the event took place in 1976, while he was a student at the University of Lagos. According to him, the strange incident unfolded after he and his friends had rushed one of their roommates to the hospital due to a serious accident.
After their friend was admitted at the hospital, the medical staff informed them that they could not stay and should return the following morning. With no choice but to leave, they began making their way back to their hostel.
However, as they stepped out of the hospital, they saw an unusual sight—a woman walking towards them with a large pot balanced on her head. At first, they thought nothing of it, but as she got closer, they realized she was completely naked.
Pastor Olukoya described how his friends were immediately filled with fear and ran away, leaving him behind. However, he stood his ground, determined to confront the situation.
“My friends ran away,” Olukoya said. “But I told myself, ‘Daniel, this is a spirit, and I will see it for myself.’”
As the mysterious woman approached, he boldly confronted her, asking why she was walking around naked in the middle of the night while carrying a pot on her head.
“Madam, you look educated. Why are you walking around naked with a pot on your head in the middle of the night?” he asked.
To his shock, the woman calmly responded, revealing that she had studied in the United Kingdom. She explained that she had been advised by a native doctor that the only way to be free from her family’s troubles was to perform a spiritual ritual, which involved walking naked with a pot at night.
“I studied in the UK, but a native doctor told me this is the only way to be free from my family’s problems,” she admitted.
Pastor Olukoya, deeply moved by her confession, urged her to surrender her life to Jesus Christ instead, emphasizing that true freedom could only come through faith in God.
However, the woman dismissed his advice and refused to listen to him, instead telling him to mind his business.
“Young man, mind your business,” she told him.
Reflecting on the bizarre encounter, Pastor Olukoya concluded his story by emphasizing how oppression and spiritual bondage can affect even the most educated individuals. He warned that people should be careful not to fall into the traps of the enemy, regardless of their background or level of education.
“Oppression can drive even the educated into bondage,” he remarked.
The story has since sparked discussions online, with many netizens sharing their thoughts on the existence of spiritual battles and the influence of traditional beliefs in modern society.
