Nollywood actor and politician Kenneth Okonkwo has provided further clarity regarding his political status, stating that he is yet to officially join any political party following his departure from the Labour Party.

During a televised interview on Arise TV, the former spokesperson of the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council shared insights into his current political engagements, explaining that he is now actively involved in coalition discussions aimed at building a formidable and credible alternative for the nation’s political future.

“I’m a member of the coalition. We have not chosen officially a platform. We’re in talks, and I’m part of the talks,” Okonkwo explained, highlighting his ongoing participation in negotiations that could shape the next political movement in Nigeria.

He further stressed the importance of aligning with individuals who share a unified and progressive vision, making it clear that his next political move will be based on mutual trust and shared principles.

“You have to assure me and I have to know the people I am going to enter into such party with… In all honesty, we need a new thing. We may not go back to change the beginning, but we can start from where we are today and change the ending,” he said, expressing hope for a transformative political journey.

Okonkwo assured that once a suitable platform has been selected through the coalition process, the public will be fully informed and can trust that it will reflect his commitment to credible leadership and national development.
