Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has publicly asserted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s accomplishments within just two (2) years in office have exceeded those of all his predecessors combined. This bold claim was made during a detailed discussion on the popular Arise TV program, The Morning Show, which aired on Wednesday, June 4.

During the interview, Morka expressed strong support and admiration for the Tinubu administration’s strategic and often tough reforms designed to address some of the most urgent and deep-rooted economic challenges facing Nigeria today. He emphasized that the President’s approach has been one of prioritizing long-term economic stability over short-term popularity gains.

“This President has done more than all the presidents before him,” Morka stated emphatically. “His direction of ordering our priorities, tackling some of the most acerbic challenges faced by the economy of our country… he has decided that he’s not about looking for cheap popularity, but doing those things that may momentarily seem unpopular but are decidedly crucial to the long-term good health of our country’s economy.”

Morka also addressed and dismissed the criticisms levelled against President Tinubu by prominent opposition figures, including former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and former Kaduna State Governor Malam Nasir El-Rufai. According to Morka, these criticisms have not in any way distracted or derailed the President from his focused mission.

“All of the hues and cries by members of the opposition, whether it’s Rotimi Amaechi or former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, or former Kaduna Governor Malam El-Rufai, don’t cut it. The President is focused on matters that guarantee the long term health of our country,” Morka remarked, highlighting the administration’s resilience against political noise.

Furthermore, Morka issued a challenge to the opposition, urging them to come forward with concrete and actionable alternatives rather than merely criticizing without offering real solutions. He accused them of failing to provide any meaningful or informed policy prescriptions that could rival or improve upon the current administration’s efforts.

“What is funny is that all of these voices put together don’t even begin to speak to what they think this President should be doing different from what he’s doing. Not one of them has come with any kind of informed prescription of what the President should be doing,” Morka declared, underscoring the lack of substantive opposition proposals.

The interview concluded with Morka reiterating the APC’s commitment to supporting President Tinubu’s agenda as the administration continues to implement policies geared towards economic recovery, infrastructural development, and overall national progress, despite opposition resistance and public scrutiny.
