
Leader of Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, has expressed satisfaction with President Bola Tinubu’s [/b]performance in office, stating that the President has surpassed his expectations since taking over the nation’s leadership.
Fasoranti made the remark on Thursday, April 17, during a courtesy visit by the First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu, to his residence in Akure, Ondo State.
According to a statement from the First Lady’s media aide, Busola Kukoyi, the 98-year-old elder statesman praised Tinubu for the direction his administration has taken and offered prayers for continued progress.
“I am satisfied with what he is doing in Nigeria. Well done,” Fasoranti said, commending both President Tinubu and the First Lady for their dedication to national development. He further acknowledged the efforts of the President in steering the country toward the right path, expressing confidence in his leadership and vision for the nation’s growth and prosperity.
Senator Remi Tinubu described the visit as informal and conveyed warm greetings from the President. She also described Pa Fasoranti as a father figure to both herself and her husband, highlighting the deep respect and admiration the First Family holds for him. The First Lady appreciated Fasoranti’s continuous contributions to national unity and progress and reiterated her commitment to supporting initiatives that improve the lives of Nigerians, especially under the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).
The visit was part of the First Lady’s two-day official trip to Ondo State, where she rolled out various health and empowerment programmes under the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI). The RHI aims to improve the well-being of Nigerians, focusing on key sectors such as health, education, and empowerment, particularly for women and the youth. During her visit, Senator Remi Tinubu engaged with local communities and leaders to further the goals of the initiative and foster national development at the grassroots level.
