Popular Nigerian skit maker and content creator, Lord Lamba, has opened up about why many Nigerian celebrities and influencers rarely spend more than two weeks in the United States, despite their frequent travels to the country.
Currently in the U.S. himself, Lord Lamba shared a candid perspective in a recent video, where he expressed his frustrations over the endless stream of expenses encountered while living abroad. According to him, one of the primary reasons Nigerian celebrities donât stay longer in the U.S. is the high cost of living and the constant financial obligations that come with it.

He emphasized that although celebrities may be earning money in dollars, all their billsâincluding rent, utilities, food, and transportationâare also paid in dollars. He added that these expenses are not only consistent but can quickly become overwhelming, forcing many to return home to Nigeria after just two weeks.
âHave you wondered why your celebrities would come to United States, two weeks theyâre back home. You go pay bills. You think it is Nigerian bills? You go pay bills broke. The bills is in dollars,â he lamented. âI dare any content creator to come and stay in the United States for 6 months, if you no broke make I bendâŚâ
His video sparked a wave of reactions online, as fans and critics shared their thoughts about the financial challenges celebrities face when abroad.
