During the interview, K1 De Ultimate explained that he was particularly upset because of the level of support he had given Kollington during the loss of his own mother. K1 mentioned that not only did he make sure that Kollington's late mother had a respectful and dignified burial, but he also went the extra mile by personally handling the financial aspects of the event, paying for the entire burial and bringing in several high-profile dignitaries to honor the occasion. He also revealed that despite all of this support, Kollington was nowhere to be found when K1 faced a similar loss.
“I am so angry with Alhaji Kollington because he never showed up to offer his condolences when I lost my mum. When his own mother passed away, I supported him to give his mum a befitting burial. I brought a lot of dignitaries to the burial for him and I handled all the finances 100%. See how he paid me back,” K1 stated, his voice filled with frustration as he recalled the events during the interview.

K1 went on to explain that he was especially perplexed by Kollington’s lack of support, as the music legend is still in good health and currently residing in Nigeria. He further questioned the validity of Kollington’s excuse, which was that he had tried to reach out by phone but K1 had not answered the call. This response from Kollington left K1 feeling confused and disrespected, given the extent of the help K1 had provided him during his own time of need.
“He is in Nigeria, hale and hearty and the only excuse he gave was that he called me and I didn’t pick up. Am I not supposed to be angry?” K1 added, clearly emotional as he recounted the incident and the feelings of betrayal that followed.

As the interview continued, K1 De Ultimate’s frustration and disappointment were apparent. He expressed how deeply hurt he was by Kollington's actions, particularly considering their past relationship and the support he had extended to him. This situation, according to K1, has caused him to question the nature of their friendship and the respect they once shared.
