Controversial social critic, VeryDarkMan, has reacted to a court-issued arrest warrant over allegations of defamation against popular gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo.

The warrant was issued by an Abuja Chief Magistrate Court, ordering the immediate arrest of the outspoken critic, who is currently in China for a youth empowerment program.

The news of the court's decision has sparked widespread reactions online, with many questioning the circumstances surrounding the case.

In response to the arrest order, VeryDarkMan took to Instagram to address the situation, alleging a judicial conspiracy against him.

According to him, the same magistrate’s court that issued the warrant had handled six cases against his accuser on the same day, suggesting potential bias in the proceedings.

Furthermore, he disclosed that following the arrest order, another court issued an injunction against him regarding the ongoing legal battle involving Mercy Chinwo and her former record label boss, Eezee Tee.

In a strongly worded statement, VeryDarkMan expressed his belief that the judiciary is being manipulated to silence him. He criticized the sudden transfer of the case from Lagos to Ilorin, calling it an attempt to obstruct fairness and transparency.

He also alleged that both the prosecutor and the presiding judge handling the case had personal ties to Mercy Chinwo and her husband, Blessed, further raising concerns about impartiality.

Despite the legal threats against him, VeryDarkMan remained defiant, vowing to continue exposing what he called "corrupt practices within the judiciary."

“I am standing against oppression. Even if I return to Nigeria and I am detained, it does not change the fact that I am speaking the truth,” he declared.

He reassured his supporters that he remains resolute in his stance against what he perceives as injustice, stating that he would not be intimidated by legal actions against him.
