Popular activist, Verydarkman, has once again stirred reactions online following his bold take on the recent arrest of prominent businessman, E-Money, by Nigeria’s anti-corruption agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Earlier reports had confirmed that the billionaire and socialite, E-Money, was apprehended by the EFCC on allegations linked to Naira abuse, a charge that has grown increasingly controversial in recent months. The EFCC continues to enforce the Central Bank of Nigeria's directive against the mishandling or spraying of the Nigerian currency, particularly at public events.

Reacting strongly to this development, Verydarkman took to social media to call out what he described as clear double standards on the part of the EFCC. He expressed his concern that the agency was seemingly targeting individuals based on ethnicity, particularly members of the Igbo community.
According to the activist, the children of billionaire businessman Okoya, who were seen in videos engaging in similar acts of naira abuse, have not faced any investigation or repercussions for their actions. Yet, the EFCC allegedly deployed a team of over 50 operatives to storm E-Money’s residence and arrest him in what Verydarkman described as a public show of force and intimidation.
He further emphasized that this kind of selective justice undermines the credibility of the EFCC and reinforces the perception that their operations may be influenced by tribal or political bias. He passionately called on Nigerians, especially the Igbos, to be vigilant and question the motivations behind such arrests.

In his words …
“About 50 men stormed E-Money’s house and that was how they arrested him… them invite Okoya pikin, nothing was done; naso that case don go, but now you go E-Money house go pick am, say him leg mistakenly touch naira.”
He continued his outburst on Instagram, posting a video with the caption:
“@iam_emoney1 is currently at @officialefcc custody allegedly, I am beginning to believe that there might be a vendetta aga!nst the Igbos. Igbos be careful, they are coming for you…. OKOYA CHILDREN ARE STILL WALKING FREELY,” he wrote.
The video has since gone viral and sparked heated discussions among Nigerians on social media, with many questioning the fairness and impartiality of the EFCC’s actions.
