Activist, Verydarkman has responded to the 48-hour ultimatum given to him by the president of the Northern Youths, Abdul Danbature, who demanded that the activist apologize to the Sultan of Sokoto. The ultimatum was issued following Verydarkman’s reaction to a video where the Sultan of Sokoto described social media as a terrorist organization.
In the video, Abdul Danbature, who claims to be the president of the Northern youths, stated that Verydarkman should apologize to the Sultan within 48 hours for his comments. Danbature’s stance came after Verydarkman voiced his disagreement with the Sultan’s controversial remark about social media.
Verydarkman, however, fiercely rejected the ultimatum. He slammed the youth leader for what he described as ignorance regarding the message in his video. He also criticized Danbature for giving him a directive despite his position as the supposed president of all Northern youths.
In his response, Verydarkman said, “First of all, to all the Arewa youths that are offended by the video that I made and to this president that is offended, first of all I really want to apologize that a lot of you are illiterates that you don’t even understand anything, especially you [the youth president]. I am apologizing to the youths that voted for you. Secondly, you have the audacity as the president of the Arewa youths to give the president of the whole Nigerian youths 48 hours? You no fear, you your jurisdiction na just the Arewa and North. My Jurisdiction na the whole Nigeria, you no fear me…”
