Nigerian activist and outspoken social critic, VeryDarkMan, has strongly dismissed claims that Nedu voluntarily resigned from “The Honest Bunch Podcast”, asserting instead that he was removed from the show.

This revelation emerged in a viral post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, where VeryDarkMan, in a bold statement, insisted that Nedu’s departure was not of his own volition.

Recall that just recently, Nedu had publicly announced his resignation from the podcast, citing personal reasons and a need to step away due to growing controversies.

His decision to leave the podcast came shortly after he was embroiled in allegations made by VeryDarkMan, who accused him of leveraging his platform and comedic content to seek intimate relationships with women in exchange for exposure and fame.

In his resignation statement, Nedu admitted that the recent controversies had taken a significant toll on him, both professionally and personally. He wrote:

“The past week has brought a lot into perspective for me. Hosting The Honest Bunch Podcast has been an incredible journey—one built on open conversations, bold perspectives, and the willingness to tackle difficult topics. However, with that responsibility has come overwhelming scrutiny, antagonism, and unfounded accusations that have now begun to affect me personally.”

“In light of recent events, I have made the difficult decision to step away from the podcast. This is not a decision I take lightly, but I believe it is necessary—for my peace of mind, my family, and the integrity of the show itself.”

Nedu further expressed hope that his exit would put an end to the negativity surrounding his name while allowing the podcast to continue thriving.

However, in a swift response, VeryDarkMan strongly refuted Nedu’s claim of voluntary resignation, asserting in a viral video that Nedu was actually dismissed from the show.

He emphatically stated, “Dem don sack Nedu,” implying that the podcast team had made the decision to let him go rather than him choosing to leave on his own accord.

As the controversy surrounding Nedu’s exit continues to unfold, social media users have taken to various platforms to express their opinions on the matter.

See some reactions from netizens below:

@maneekofficial: “Or could this whole thing be an elaborate plan to get Nedu to leave Glitch Studios and start something new for himself where he keeps the majority or even all of the profits? I mean, I don’t know who owns Glitch Studios, but if it’s not Nedu, then he isn’t getting all the profits despite the show’s massive popularity. So it would make sense if he did this to get out.”

@YVP231: “Honest Bunch Podcast na another form of platform to gossip ..nothing educative about that shit. Na since wen dem carry Saida Boj come, the podcast don turn bad market.”

@OmoDadaNig: “Smh 🤦🏻 VDM downfall will be historic.”

@ibukun_tayo: “E resign abi them sack am? He don move on.”

@dujardinn_: “He stepped down or they sacked him?”
