Controversial critic, Verydarkman, has shared his reaction to the recent luxury car purchase made by Lagos-based socialite, Sophia Egbueje. The critic, known for his outspoken nature, addressed the Lamborghini acquisition, emphasizing the importance of verifying its mileage.
Notably, Sophia Egbueje acquired the expensive ride amidst an ongoing controversy involving Grammy award-winning artist, Burna Boy. The socialite had previously accused the music star of failing to fulfill a promise to buy her a Lamborghini in exchange for a romantic relationship.
Sophia claimed that her former best friend, Ama Reginald, was responsible for introducing her to Burna Boy. However, she also accused Ama of betraying her by engaging in secret dealings with the singer.
In a video posted to Instagram, Verydarkman shared that he had been away from social media and had only recently caught up with the latest buzz surrounding Sophia's luxury purchase.
The critic alleged that many Nigerian celebrities exaggerate the prices of their vehicle purchases to impress their followers. He stated that to prove authenticity, individuals flaunting expensive cars should also showcase their mileage to confirm their actual market value.
“Sophia, it’s time to show us the mileage of your Lamborghini. That Lamborghini Urus can be bought for $100,000 or $120,000 in Dubai,” he asserted in his video.
Furthermore, Verydarkman alleged that a prominent Nigerian senator had recently acquired a second-hand vehicle under the guise of purchasing a brand-new luxury car. However, he refrained from mentioning the senator’s name.
Reactions to Verydarkman’s statement have since flooded social media, with many Nigerians sharing their thoughts on the matter.
Oladimeji Bamidele remarked: “My people, don’t be confused. That Lambo might just be rented for a few months. It is very possible. It is easy to live a fake life.”
