Nigerian music executive, Ubi Franklin, has broken his silence concerning the widespread rumours suggesting that he was recently involved in a physical fight with popular nightlife mogul and socialite, Cubana Chief Priest.
Social media had been buzzing with unverified reports alleging that the two influential personalities clashed at the luxurious Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja. The altercation was said to have escalated from a heated verbal exchange into a full-blown brawl.
Several gossip blogs quoted unnamed eyewitnesses who described the scene as chaotic, claiming the two exchanged “heavy blows not meant for the faint-hearted.” The alleged confrontation was reported to have drawn the attention of other high-profile guests and onlookers at the venue.
However, addressing the controversy, Ubi Franklin took to his Instagram Story to strongly deny the reports, questioning the credibility of both the source and those spreading the misinformation. In his now-deleted post, the music executive called out the blogger behind the narrative and labelled the whole story as a baseless fabrication aimed at gaining online attention.
“Anyone who believes this story, especially the narrative on Instablog written by a blogger in an attempt for relevance, is a f**l lol,” Ubi Franklin posted, expressing clear frustration with the misleading news making the rounds.
As of now, Cubana Chief Priest has yet to issue any public response or comment regarding the altercation rumours.
