Media personality, Toke Makinwa, has advised ladies to allow men to pay for their bills, emphasizing that there is nothing wrong with it.
While sharing her perspective on an episode of her podcast, Toke Moments, the popular media personality urged women to maintain their standards and not succumb to societal pressures when it comes to their relationships.
According to Toke Makinwa, many women feel guilty or hesitant about expecting financial support from men due to societal judgment. She stressed that there are different types of people in the world, and every woman has the right to choose the kind of partner who aligns with her expectations.

Speaking on Toke Moments, she said;
“You don’t need to lower your standards. There are over a billion people in this world. You can go and find somebody who has what you are looking for. Stop letting society dictate for you.
“If you say, ‘Oh, this girl is a money-hungry b!tch. All she wants is a man to pay her bills.’ If you can’t pay her bills, leave. There is another guy who that is what he is looking for.
“I feel like we make things harder than they are; fighting online with our opinions. If somebody is not what you are looking for, refuse the urge to start trying to pinpoint what is wrong with them because it is actually a reflection of you and not them.”
Her statement has sparked mixed reactions online, with some agreeing that women should set their financial expectations in relationships, while others argue that financial independence should be prioritized. The debate continues across various social media platforms.
