Speed Darlington’s former lawyer, Stan Alieke, has shared a cryptic post following the wave of public outrage that has emerged after the recent shocking revelation made by the singer.
It will be recalled that a significant social media uproar erupted when the singer openly disclosed during a live video broadcast that he had an intimate encounter with a minor, sparking widespread condemnation and calls for his immediate arrest.
Following the revelation, public reactions have been mixed, with many demanding justice and accountability. In the midst of this turmoil, Speed Darlington maintained that his statement was merely a prank and not to be taken seriously.
However, his former lawyer, Stan Alieke, took to social media to post a series of African proverbs, leaving many to interpret his message as a veiled commentary on the situation.
He wrote:
“Those whom the gods wish to destroy they first make m@d – African Proverb. The fly that do not listen to advice will always follow corpse to the grave – another African proverb. Enough said.”
Reactions to Stan Alieke’s cryptic post have been pouring in, reflecting the divided opinions among the public.

_cherii_coco wrote: “Portable suppose beat am more 👏 Akpi na werey.”
gallantsecuredverifield01 expressed a more nuanced view: “I am not supporting Akpi but na this country we dey wen one northern governor married a 12 years old girl child, we talk talk, nothing happened. Some part of this country, na normal thing, them dey marry off children. Until we condemn those ones and hold them accountable, Una nor get any right to do Akpi anything. We can’t live in a country where we have two different laws for the same offence. When can’t live in a country where certain people and certain region are above the law. If wetin Akpi do na crime, let it be a crime all over the country and let the law equally applies to everyone in respective of the person, religion and religion. Sad as it may be, I stand with Akpi on this one, until we apply the law equally across the country and to everyone.”
blairseen00_ added: “Akpi is the weapon fashioned against speed Darlington 😂.”
