Popular Nigerian socialite and well-known as Davido’s babymama, Sophia Momodu, has fired back at a social media user who made a comment about her daughter, Imade’s teeth.
Sophia Momodu, who recently made an appearance at the highly talked-about reality show, The Real Housewives of Lagos, where she shared deep insights about her personal life and relationships, found herself responding to a sensitive remark made about her child.
During a Q&A session on her Snapchat, a follower identified as Chidera posed a question concerning Imade’s smile, suggesting that the young girl might be insecure about her teeth and urging Sophia to encourage her daughter to embrace her beauty.
Chidera’s comment read: “Why doesn’t she smile and laugh freely? It seems she’s insecure about her teeth. If my guess is right, she doesn’t have to be. She has a beautiful set of teeth.”
The comment seemingly didn’t sit well with Sophia Momodu, who was quick to respond, explaining why she limits posting content related to her daughter on public platforms.
According to Sophia, she prefers sharing moments privately on Snapchat, where she has a selected audience, citing how Nigerians tend to make unnecessary assumptions and remarks about children.
She firmly defended her daughter, emphasizing that Imade possesses an unshakable level of confidence that surpasses most critics who make such baseless observations.
In her words: “Honestly, this is why I don’t post more on my private snap, which has zero Nigerians on there, because you all are constantly projecting or talking smack about a child.”
She continued, “She is Imade Adeleke, daughter of Sophia Momodu. She’s doing just fine and has had more confidence than most of you all since day zero.”
Her response quickly gained traction online, with many fans and followers showing support for her decision to stand up for her daughter against unwarranted social media criticism.
