Multi award-winning Nollywood actress, Ruth Kadiri, has finally taken the time to address the persistent claims suggesting that she has been intentionally hiding her husband, Mr Ezerika, from the public eye and media spotlight.
In a recent candid conversation on the “Dear Ife” podcast hosted by ‘Diary of a Naija Girl’, the talented actress and mother of two clarified the long-standing rumors, stating emphatically that she is not hiding her husband as many people have assumed. She explained that they actually attend events together and share moments in public, but that her husband simply chooses to maintain a low-key presence.
Furthermore, Kadiri highlighted that while her husband is very much involved in her life and career, he does not crave public attention and prefers to stay out of the limelight. She described him as someone who values his privacy, and she respects and supports that choice fully.
“For clarity, my husband is not a secret. People who know me, know him. And for me, that’s enough. Like, I don’t know why I will sit down and be thinking, what am I proving?” she said, addressing her critics and those curious about her family life.
The actress went on to share that contrary to public perception, her life is not as private as it might seem. She revealed that her husband simply isn’t widely recognized because they intentionally avoid making him a public figure, and she only shares selective glimpses of him on her social media platforms.
It will be recalled that the couple tied the knot in 2019, in what was a quiet and intimate ceremony attended by close family and friends. Their union has since been blessed with two beautiful daughters, whom she often showcases with joy online, while still maintaining a protective boundary around her immediate family’s privacy.
Despite being a prominent public figure and a popular face in Nollywood, Kadiri has always prioritized keeping her family out of unnecessary media scrutiny. She believes in sharing only what feels right and necessary, rather than feeling pressured to showcase every aspect of her personal life for public validation.
