Earlier on, Gistreel had reported that VeryDarkMan was picked up in Abuja by unidentified security operatives, though the details surrounding the incident remained sketchy at the time. Now, as more information unfolds, clarity is beginning to surface on what actually transpired.

Popular entertainment gossip blogger, Cutie Juls, brought the new claims to light in a recent update on the incident. According to her, before VeryDarkMan’s arrest, he was allegedly invited by the EFCC on six separate occasions. These invitations were reportedly acknowledged by his legal representative, Deji Adeyanju, yet went unhonored by the social critic.

Cutie Juls further claimed that it was the DSS who finally arrested VeryDarkMan, citing the seriousness of the allegations against him. Following his apprehension, the EFCC reportedly requested that the DSS hand him over to enable them to continue investigations into an existing case involving the influencer.

According to the blogger, the core of the controversy involves a woman who is allegedly under investigation for money laundering. It was claimed that conversations between this woman and VeryDarkMan had been traced and linked to a larger case under EFCC investigation. These connections allegedly provide the basis for the EFCC’s sustained interest in VeryDarkMan’s case.
