According to reports by Seun Oloketuyi, CEO of Best of Nollywood (BON), Monalisa Stephen tragically passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, in Lagos. The actress had reportedly been battling low blood sugar and internal bleeding before her untimely death.
The announcement of her passing was made public on Wednesday, May 14, through a heartfelt Facebook post by Seun Oloketuyi, who shared the news with deep sorrow and sympathy.
In the post, Seun stated that the devastating news was confirmed by Monalisa’s immediate younger sister, who relayed the tragic development to him personally. The entertainment community and fans have since been mourning the loss of the vibrant and beloved actress.
His post reads, “Brand influencer Monalisa Ayobami Stephen is dead, she died yesterday in Lagos after losing the fight against Low sugar and internal bleeding. Her immediate younger sister confirmed the death of this hardworking and beautiful soul”.
