Talented Nigerian musician, Rema, has shared his personal views on fatherhood and why he is determined not to have a child outside of wedlock.
The ‘Calm Down’ singer expressed that he is intentional about his choices and does not want to have a child by mistake.
Speaking further, Rema revealed that he dislikes promiscuity and prioritizes meaningful relationships over casual encounters.

“I feel like there’s a need for us [family] to get bigger and become a whole empire if we can. And then neither do I want to wait for it to become a mistake before I decide to be a father. I’m very particular and I don’t really be h*eing around,” he said.
In addition to discussing his views on fatherhood, the Afropop sensation also spoke about his bond with fellow artists Ayra Starr and South African singer Tyla.
He described both of them as family, emphasizing the strong friendships they share.
“Ayra’s family, for sure. Tyla’s family. We’re good friends because I’ve been friends with Tyla even before everything.”
