Controversial Lagos socialite and nightlife personality, Pretty Mike, has once again found himself in the spotlight after disclosing that he was initially planning to pull one of his trademark grand entrances at Priscilla Ojo’s star-studded wedding celebration. However, a heartfelt plea from the bride’s mother, popular actress and entrepreneur Iyabo Ojo, alongside her partner, music executive Paulo Okoye, made him reconsider his plans and tone down his usual flamboyant theatrics.
Pretty Mike, known for consistently grabbing headlines with his outrageous appearances at high-profile events, recently stirred nationwide controversy when he attended Obi Cubana’s birthday party accompanied by a dramatic entourage of 51 zombie-costumed individuals. The shocking stunt was a symbolic act done in remembrance of the 51 lives tragically lost during the Plateau State massacre, an incident that left many Nigerians grieving.

As anticipation built for Priscilla Ojo’s wedding, Pretty Mike revealed in a candid social media post that the bride herself had encouraged him to deliver one of his unforgettable, attention-grabbing entrances at her big day, assuring him it would add excitement and flair to the occasion.
However, according to the flamboyant socialite, both Iyabo Ojo and Paulo Okoye were less enthusiastic about the idea. Concerned about the presence of the groom’s Tanzanian family and how they might perceive such antics, the couple reportedly reached out personally to Pretty Mike, urging him to go easy on the theatrics so as not to alarm their soon-to-be in-laws or cause unnecessary drama at the event.
Sharing the behind-the-scenes conversations on his Instagram story, Pretty Mike wrote:
“My sister, the Bride @its.priscy said I should bring the heat tonite… The Bride’s Mother @iyaboojofespris saw me some days back and begged me not to come in a weird way, that her in-laws think she is wacko enough.
“Bride’s mother’s sugar daddy aka Obim @pauloo2104 called and asked me to tone it down small, but I should still give them a show. Some of my sisters that are on the train are rooting for me to bring fresh new attention to the atmosphere aka scatter everywhere as e dey hot. While some are using style to say, ‘Abeg don’t chase our Tanzania in-laws away.’”
Despite the conflicting opinions from friends and well-wishers, Pretty Mike humorously assured the new in-laws from Tanzania that by marrying Priscilla, they were not just joining hands with one person but an entire nation of lively, dramatic, and unapologetically expressive people.
He added, “Dear Tanzania in-laws, you did not just marry our sister and daughter; you married an entire nation. You will have to take us as we come…”

As always, social media users eagerly await photos and clips from the wedding event to see just how much of a ‘show’ Pretty Mike managed to sneak in despite the warnings — and whether his toned-down theatrics still made a memorable mark on the high-profile celebration.
