Wiznurudeen, a new signee under the record label of controversial Nigerian street-hop artist Habeeb Okikilola, popularly known as Portable, has sparked an emotional reaction online after breaking down in tears during a touching video appeal. In the now-viral clip, Wiznurudeen passionately pleaded with veteran Fuji musician Saheed Osupa to have mercy on his embattled boss and intervene for his release.
This heartfelt appeal surfaced in the aftermath of Portable’s recent arrest by operatives of the Kwara State Police Command. The arrest followed an official petition filed against him by popular Fuji singer Okunola Saheed, widely known as Saheed Osupa, accusing the street-hop star of committing several grave offences.
According to the petition, Saheed Osupa alleged that Portable engaged in acts of criminal defamation, issued threats to life, incited violence, carried out character assassination, and conducted himself in a manner likely to cause public unrest, alongside the use of vulgar and abusive language.
Confirming the development, the spokesperson of the command, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, released an official statement outlining the allegations leveled against Portable. She further explained that, owing to the severity of the offences and supporting evidence presented, the command sought and obtained a valid arrest warrant from a Magistrate Court sitting in Ilorin, Kwara State.
“On Sunday, April 13, 2025, acting on credible intelligence, officers from the command successfully located and apprehended the suspect in Abeokuta, Ogun State, at approximately 7:25 PM,” the statement revealed. “He was thereafter immediately transported to Ilorin, Kwara State, where he remains in custody as investigations proceed.”
The police further disclosed that Portable’s official statement was recorded in the presence of legal representatives from both parties involved, and that ongoing investigations aim to uncover further details regarding the matter.
In a deeply moving video that has been widely shared across various social media platforms, one of Portable’s signees, Wiznurudeen, appeared visibly distraught and overcome with emotion. He fervently begged Saheed Osupa to forgive his boss, pleading for compassion and the withdrawal of all charges against him. The video has since gained significant attention from fans, sympathizers, and the general public.
