Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has once again made headlines as he delivers a harsh response to fellow artist, Speed Darlington, over an invitation to perform at his upcoming show.
Speed Darlington had earlier taken to social media to publicly invite the Zazoo Zeh crooner to be a guest performer at his April 13th show, offering him a spot on stage alongside him.
However, Portable, known for his outspoken nature, reacted angrily to the invitation, accusing Speed Darlington of attempting to use his name for promotional purposes. He claimed that his brand was too big for such an invitation and mocked the rapper for not being able to afford his performance fee.
Portable went on to assert that he charges a whopping N20 million per show and that Speed Darlington does not have the financial capacity to book him. He further boasted about his success in the music industry, emphasizing that he has performed in major cities across London and Europe, unlike Speed Darlington, whom he described as struggling in the industry.
In a video addressing Speed Darlington directly, Portable said:
“Speed Darlington abi wetin dem dey call you, Ogun kpai you! You wan use my name promote show. Na N20M I dey collect for show. Go and ask, I’m not a tout like you. I’m a superstar; I’ve performed in Europe. I no wan make friends with poor people o.”
