Nigerian street-hop sensation, Portable, has officially turned down a proposed rematch with controversial rapper, Speed Darlington, following their recent celebrity boxing showdown where Portable claimed victory.
In a surprising revelation, the singer disclosed that he had received a generous ₦20 million cash gift from Grammy award-winning superstar, Burna Boy, which solidified his decision to reject the rematch offer.

This update was made public through a viral post shared via X (formerly Twitter), where Portable openly expressed his unwillingness to face Speed Darlington in the boxing ring again despite the rapper offering a rematch deal worth ₦20 million.
According to Portable, the ₦20 million that was supposed to be used for the rematch had already been gifted to him by Burna Boy, making any further discussions about a second fight unnecessary in his eyes.
Portable humorously added in his statement, “Joy don come, Burna Boy na odogwu. The money long, Burna Boy money long, them dey tell me before, now I know. Burna Boy don send ₦20 million. I no rematch o.”
He further emphasized, “The ₦20 million you wan use do rematch, Burna Boy don send am. If you still wan send am, send it come, I need money. But no rematch, find another person, not that fool. He’s a fool at 40.”
The outspoken singer went on to insult Speed Darlington, calling him a ‘fool at 40’ for embarrassing himself during their initial bout and now seeking a rematch after his defeat.
Portable concluded by insisting that the organizers should look for a new opponent if they still intend to arrange another celebrity fight involving him, as he has no interest in facing Speed Darlington again.
