Popular Nigerian rapper, Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, better known by his stage name Phyno, has finally spoken out concerning viral reports claiming he sold off his luxury multi-billion naira estate in Lagos.
It would be recalled that in 2023, Phyno made headlines when he acquired an estate consisting of 20 units of houses, with the total value reported at a staggering N1.4 billion. This impressive acquisition was made public by famous Nigerian politician, Ned Nwoko, who congratulated the rapper on the remarkable achievement.

In recent days, however, rumors began making rounds online, sparked by a certain blogger, alleging that Phyno had sold the entire estate to an unnamed Arab investor from Libya. The post also claimed that the decision to sell the estate was driven by tribal sentiments and discomfort in the Lagos environment.
According to the blogger’s controversial post, the supposed deal was worth over N10 billion. The tweet further alleged that Phyno regretted building such a massive property in Yoruba land, stating that he felt his people were not welcomed there.
The viral tweet read, “Musician Phyno has allegedly sold off his 10 billion naira estate in Lagos to an Arab man. According to Phyno, it was a mistake building such an estate in Yoruba land, where he feels his people are not welcomed.”
Reacting to the allegations, Phyno did not waste time in addressing the issue publicly. He took to his official Twitter handle to strongly debunk the rumors, labeling the report as completely false and unfounded.
In a swift and fiery response, the rapper tweeted, “You are a fool for cooking up this type of nonsense. Where are you heading with this? Anwu uta.”, expressing his anger and frustration over the spread of such baseless claims.
